The Minister of
Provincial Councils and Local Government FaiszerMusthaphachallenges the
political parties in UPFA who are trying to come out as separatepolitical forces,
to win and show even a single Local body by competing separately. Minister says
that these ideas at a ceremony held at Lenagala, Homagama on 19th
December. This ceremony was held, headed with the Minister FaiszerMusthapha, to
distribute compost bins for 500 families at Meegasmullagramasewa division,
Homagama with the provisions of the ministry of Local Government
Expressing
further the Minister said “Some political parties in UPFA were fed by the SLFP.
There, it was unfair for the SLFP allies. The people, who were fed by the SLFP
then, are trying to come out as new political forces now. I am challenging them
to win even a single Local body by competing alone. If the SLFP is split into
two, it is beneficial for the UNP. Do the ones who making new political forces
need to see the victory of the UNP..? Former Presidents like Chandrika
Bandaranayeke and Mahinda Rajapaksha started politics from SLFP. They love
SLFP. They will never let the party to be separated.
Expressing
about the former chairman of the HomagamaPradeshiya Sabha, Mr.IndikaKoralage
who organized this ceremony, Minister Faiszer Musthapha said “I was with
Maithripala Sirisena before 08th of January. Indika Koralage was
with Mahinda Rajapaksha. But now we both are in the same stage, the SLFP. He
was the chairman of the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha. I would like to say that the
next chairman of the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha will also be Mr. Indika Koralage..”
Addressing the gathering
the former chairman of the HomagamaPradeshiya Sabha Mr. IndikaKoralage said,
“It is not the UNP who first said that the Mahinda Rajapaksha’s Government is
stealing. The leaders of the UPFA said so. It is not the UNP who revealed about
the corruptions in Central Bank.UPFA leaders are the ones who made the slogans
for the UNP.But now they are asking to compete separately for the Local
Government Elections. They have already won in the General Elections from UPFA.
But asking us to compete separately. Chandrika Kumarathunge had been the leader
of the SLFP. Then Mahinda Rajapaksha became the leader. Now the leader is
Maithipala Sirisena. No matter who the leader is, we are in SLFP. We see the
future through SLFP...”
Minister
of Western Province Gamini Thilakasiri, Provincial Councils and Local
Government officers and villagers attended the ceremony.
