Sham Nawaz condemns NPP

former Colombo City Councillor & Samagi Jana Balavegaya Colombo Municipal Candidate & the President of All Ceylon Union Of Muslim League Youth Fronts MNM Sham Nawaz strongly condemns the atrocities of the National People's Power government A few days ago, a Muslim youth was arrested by slave island police for pasting several offensive stickers on garbage bins demanding that the occupation of Israel and Zionist terrorists should leave Sri Lanka. Further he said that he strongly condemns the atrocities committed by arresting the organizers of the protest organized in front of the Colombo Police Headquarters on Saturday and raiding their homes, M.N.M. Sham Nawas the President of All Ceylon Union Of Muslim League Youth Fronts further states The atrocious of the National People's Power, which simply spoke satirical stories about the Palestinian issue, shed tears falsely and acted like a tiger wrapped in a cow's skin to the Arab world, has come to light with the arrest of the Muslim youth the day before yesterday and the arrest of its organizers even before the protest organized against it today, and their hypocrisy has come to light. If it is wrong to exaggerate the arrival of a few beggar tourists to Sri Lanka and raise their voices against them, then people are closely observing what the National People's Power is going to say and what it is doing to the Arab country that is providing assistance to Sri Lanka for all kinds of development projects. Samagi Jana Balavegaya candidate and President of the All Sri Lanka Muslim League Youth Front, M.N.M.Sham Nawaz, said that the Muslim people in particular should pay close attention to the activities, policies and plans of this government. We should at this time bring to your attention the fact that the Leader of Samagi Jana Balavegaya and Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Sajith Premadasa, has expressed his oppression to Israeli fascist and Zionist policies, has raised his voice in Parliament and outside it, and has not only raised his voice in all struggles on behalf of Palestine and for the liberation of its people, but also has presented various issues through actions. However, we are witnessing that the National People's Power, which is currently governing the Sri Lankan government, is simply putting false accusations among the people, especially by hurting the hearts of Muslims, and is acting against the aspirations and hearts of Muslims and the minority people within this short period of about five or six months of their government. Surely you all know that this government, for the first time, has not given any kind of membership or ministerial positions to Muslims from the minority community in their government and has not given any primary role or responsibilities to Muslims in any kinds of development work that they are undertaking. Especially in this holy month of Ramadan, let us all raise our voices for the restoration of Masjidul Aqsa. Let us pray. He further stated that we strongly condemn not only the arrest of the innocent youth from Nittambuwa but also the detention of that young man. He added that the fact that they are preventing us from raising our voices and expressing any opinion in opposition to this every day shows their cowardice
